обычное название для стукача или предателя. Буквально - крыса.Rathole — дословно крысиная нора. Первое, что приходит в голову (и правильно!) - поганое жилье, за которым не следят. Второе, более популярное значение менее очевидно - бездонная дыра, где пропадают деньги.
Rat on someone (to) — стучать, закладывать.
Rat out (to) — выйти из игры.
Rat around (to) — болтаться (без дела).

Rat fuck — популярное ругательство среди студентов, с несколькими смыслами:морально нечистоплотный, грязно-противный (о товарище по учебе);хорошо проводить время;просто болтаться без дела.Rat pack — подростковая банда, крысенята.
Rat race — дословно, крысиные гонки. Запомните это выражение. Оно очень популярно, слышишь каждый день. Так американцы называют свою жизнь, во всяком случае, до пенсии. И вечный бой... И кому же этот вечный бой может так уж нравиться?..
